七月二十二日（金）晴。猛暑。蘋果の新OSのライオン、Safariの最速化、期待してゐなかつたが言選りがかなり進化で驚く。モバイル用と思つてバックアップもしていなかつたMacBook AirだつたがOSが変わるとたんに原状復元すると元のOSになつてしまふはず。でタイムマシンでバックアップしておこうか、と思つて始め「あ、朝だつた」と何時間かかるか、に焦つたが（これを携へ外出の予定あり）あくまで携帯用でファイルや音源など一切貯蓄してゐないんで16GBだけで小一時間でバックアップが済む。円高進み香港ドルは10円を下回りそう。午後遅く、湾仔の公立病院で高血圧の定期診察受け処方薬受け取る。夕方、再興焼臘で叉焼飯頬張つて会展中心の香港書展へ。予想に反して待ち時間なしですんなりと入場。毎回、大手でいへばだいたい三聯、商務印書館から流しSwindonで最後、地図の通用図書となるが何といつても白眉はポスト97年に「老懵董」や」「掃把頭」といつた政治滑稽本で一躍、時代の寵児となつた彭志銘が社主の次文化社のブース。何せ勢ひが良い。ブースにはこの出版社から随筆集出した呉靄儀議員（立法会）自らが売り子、社長は劉天賜と歓談中。それとQubrick書店（油麻地のCinematiqueにあり）のセンスが光る。大手でも中華書局、天地図書、PageOneは嫌ひなので覗きもせず。昨年この書展で購つた本の大部分が未読で書室に積まれたまゝ。で今日はかなり自戒して六、七冊のみ。18時から公開フォーラム。（以下、会場でのメモのまゝ）Late 20min for the open public forum held by Sir David Tang. Full & sitting on the floor. Invited Dr David Starkey, Nicholas Coleridge, AA Gill & Tom Bowles. Never read their writings and didn't know who they are. Anyway no polite speeches and discussions. Q&A started. Sir David rejected any stupid, boring questions from audience. "who is your favourite writer?" is stupid question, but whom you hate is good. In five gentlemen, particularly Dr Starkey, who is historian and writer of "Elizabeth" is excellent. Must learn from George Orwell, not from Hemingway. Four of five on the stage no Facebook ant all no twitter, but almost audience with face&twit. Last part of the forum, Sir David asked us 'intelligent' questions only. Finally "Murdoch" matter asked - all matters in the world, tablolized!
